The West Stanislaus Resource Conservation District provides help to growers to: Learn about cost saving best management practices that keep sediment, pesticides and fertilizers on the farm and out of the State’s waters;
- Navigate the application processes for financial assistance through the Natural Resources Conservation Service or other funding sources;
- Learn about funding and technical resources available to farmers to implement cost saving best management practices;
- Develop and maintain records that show implementation of best management practices that protect water resources;
- Obtain the appropriate technical expertise to implement best management practices;
- Provide on-farm planning programs;
- Provide on-site educational opportunities to grower’s staff so that all field personnel are aware of the issue when irrigating or applying pesticides (translators are available).
